A couple of days ago I read a statement that sent me into evaluation mode concerning our organization.  I’m not sure who to credit for the principle?  It is not mine, but I can tell you from experience that it is true.

Here it is . . . “People don’t leave organizations, they leave people.”

Anyone left your organization, company, staff, or business lately?  I hate to tell you this, but it’s possible they didn’t leave the organization.  They may have left you.

Organizations are about relationships more than they are products.  Great leaders understand this almost intuitively and they make people the priority.

If you keep noticing that people have left, maybe it would be better to focus on your relational skills than to focus on your quality control or marketing.

Want to keep people?  Then focus on people.  Because organizations are about relationships.
